PRESENTATION

La première conférence internationale sur l'Informatique Affective, le machine learning et les Systèmes Intelligents (ACMLIS'17) se tiendra du 18 au 20 mai 2017 à l’Ecole Nationale des Sciences Appliquées de Tétouan, Maroc. ACMLIS'17 a pour objectif de fournir une conférence internationale de haut niveau, faisant appeler à des ingénieurs, des professionnels de l'industrie, des universitaires, des individus d'institutions, des industriels, des médecins, des psychologues, des organismes gouvernementaux et des praticiens, pour échanger des informations, partager leurs réalisations, discuter de l'avancement et présenter leurs dernières réalisations et innovations dans les domaines de l'Informatique Affective (IA), Machine Learning (ML) et les Systèmes Intelligents (SI) et ses applications dans l'industrie et le monde réel. Nous souhaitons que cette Conférence internationale sur «IA, ML et SI» vous donnera l'occasion de diffuser vos recherches, de partager les expériences avec d'autres chercheurs experts dans ces domaines. Au plaisir de collaborer et de vous rencontrer à Tétouan en Mai 2017!

APPEL A COMMUNICATION

ACMLIS'17 vous invite à proposer des communications par moyen de cette application web. Vos communications porteront de préférence sur les thèmes de la conférence. Les contributions décrivant les applications de l'informatique affective (AI), du machine learning (ML) et des systèmes intelligents (SI) sont particulièrement encouragées. Les auteurs sont invités à soumettre des manuscrits originaux non publiés. Les documents soumis doivent être conformes au format IEEE et seront examinés par au moins deux examinateurs experts en termes de pertinence, d'originalité, de contribution, d'exactitude et de présentation.






PUBLICATIONS

Les articles sélectionnés de la première Conférence Internationale sur l'Informatique Affective, Machine Learning et les Systèmes Intelligents (ACMLIS'17) seront publiés dans un numéro spécial de la revue TMLAI « Transaction on Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence ».

ACTES DE LA CONFÉRENCE

Tous les documents de conférence soumis seront examinés par trois examinateurs compétents. Les actes postérieurs à la conférence seront résumés et indexés dans e livre des actes de la conférence (ISBN 978-9954-39-763-3). Les résumés des contributions des participants à la conférence, le livre des actes, le CD et le certificat de présentation seront distribués aux participants au bureau d'inscription à la conférence.

Les meilleurs articles sélectionnés par le comité scientifique de la conférence ACMLIS’17, seront publiés par l’un des revues internationales indexées suivantes :

Les résumés de ces articles soumis seront publiés dans le livre des actes de la conférence ACMLIS'17(ISBN 978-9954-39-763-3) et les meilleurs articles séléctionnées par le comité scientifique seront publiés par l'un des revues internationales indexées citées en haut.
  • La participation avec le résumé peut être en Français ou en Anglais.tous ces résumés soumis ,seront publiés dans le livre des actes de la conférence ACMLIS'17(ISBN 978-9954-39-763-3).

CONFÉRENCIERS PLÉNIERS

X Biography:

Dr Encarnación Hidalgo-Tenorio is a senior lecturer in English linguistics at the University of Granada, Spain, where she has been teaching undergraduate and master courses since 1993. Although she loves English grammar lectures, her main research area is Critical Discourse Analysis, where she focuses on notions such as representation and power enactment as manifested mainly in public discourse. After the publication of her PhD thesis in 1996, she has written extensively on language and gender, and has also paid attention to the analysis of the way identity can be discursively construed. In her research, she has tried to develop or reconsider some very interesting principles mainly taken from Systemic Functional Grammar such as Transitivity, Modality or Appraisal Theory. In the last years, she has directed two research projects funded by the European Union and the Spanish Ministry of Economy and Competitiveness, dealing with how Otherness is shaped in social media, and with the detection and analysis of on-line terrorist discourse.

X Biography :

Dr Miguel-Angel Benitez-Castro is a lecturer in English at the School of Education of the University of Zaragoza (Teruel Campus). He successfully completed his PhD at the University of Granada back in December 2013, with a thesis on the formal, syntactic, semantic and textual features of English shell-noun phrases (e.g. fact, issue, problem) in a range of English text types. His main research interest lies in discourse analysis, inspired particularly by Systemic Functional Linguistics (SFL) and based on corpus-driven methodologies, which he has managed to apply to his general focus on the interface between lexical choice, discourse structure and evaluation. This general interest is reflected in his previous and ongoing research on shell-noun phrases(e.g. Benitez-Castro 2015), on the evaluation of social minorities in public discourse (e.g. Bartley & Benitez-Castro 2016) and, currently, along with Dr Hidalgo-Tenorio,on the refinement of SFL’s linguistic theory of evaluation (i.e. Appraisal Theory)on the basis of psychological emotion theories and of the analysis of a corpus of interviews with victims of abuse (e.g. Benitez-Castro & Hidalgo-Tenorio Forthcoming). He is now also a member of the research team of a 4-year project funded by the Spanish Ministry of Economy and Competitiveness, led by Dr Hidalgo-Tenorio and Dr Castro-Peña (University of Granada), on the detection and analysis of on-line terrorist discourse.

X Biography :

Dr. Diego Pablo Ruiz Professor completed his Bsc in physics, Msc in Electronics Physics and PhD in Physics from Faculty of sciences, University of Granada, Spain. He have 24 years of experience in teaching. He is currently coordinator of the Laboratory of Physical and Environmental Acoustics and the Interuniversity Master of Acoustic Engineering. He is a Member of IEEE, RSEF and also a member of editorial board for Elsevier journal.

Professor in courses of Higher Diplomas, University experts and Master of "Prevention of Occupational Risks" imparted by the Andalusian Foundation of Training and Employment, professor in the "Expert in Safety and Health in Construction Works" and "University Expert in Risk Prevention Labor (Occupational Safety) "at the University of Granada.

He has been director or principal investigator of 14 R & D contracts with public institutions and in the field of technology transfer has contributed to the creation of two spin-off companies of the University of Granada.

X Biography:

Khalid Berrada is professor of physics at Cadi Ayyad University - Faculty of Sciences Semlalia since 1996. He is actively involved in basic research and education development for many years. He is in charge of pedagogical innovation at UCA and UNESCO Chair holder on “Teaching physics by doing” since 2010. He was the founder and president of the Moroccan Society of Applied Physics 2006-2011. He has been member of many commissions and councils and has coordinated modules of physics at the faculty from 1999 to 2015. He is also the Co-coordinator of Active Learning in Optics and Photonics UNESCO program in Africa and Chair of international conferences on physics, education and optics (ALOP2006, ICPE2007. GUMP2008, IWOP2010, CNTE2012, ExAO2013, IMDM2013, RUN2015, CINU2016,..). He has authored (or co-authored) many research papers and has been member of many national and international conference and meeting committees. He has organized and facilitated many active learning workshops in Morocco, Tunisia, Algeria, India, Zambia, and Cameroon. He is also one of the developers of the successful French edition program of UNESCO Active Learning in Optics and Photonics and has facilitated many workshops in Morocco. He is coordinating a very large educational program on optics and photonics for more than 225 High Schools in Morocco under the umbrella of UNESCO. Currently, he is coordinating the Uc@mooc project and the Centre for Pedagogical Innovation created in 2013 at Cadi Ayyad University. He is currently coordinating Erasmus + projects at Cadi Ayyad University “OpenMed”, “EXPERES” and MericNet and other national and international projects MicorLab, UNESCO Chair EDD, PROPES, MOOCs,..

X Biography:

Karim Bouzoubaa is professor of computer science in the Mohammadia School of Engineers at the Mohammed 5th University of Rabat. He has published two books and over 70 journal and conference papers on all aspects of intelligent systems and Arabic language processing. Karim Bouzoubaa holds a MSc and a PhD from Laval University in Canada in the artificial intelligence and multi-agent systems fields. He contributed in the release of Amine platform for the development of intelligent systems. Since 2006, he is focusing on the Arabic NLP field. His experience on that field has been expressed in many directions: heading a research group in his institution, reviewing papers, organizing local and international events, being invited as a speaker as well as a visiting professor, participating in the creation of a local Arabic NLP association as well as participating in local, regional and international projects.

X Biography:

Abdelouahid Lyhyaoui received the M.S. degree from the Polytechnic University of Madrid, Spain, in 1997 and the Ph.D. degree from Carlos III University of Madrid, Spain, in1999. Currently his a full professor in the Electrical and Industrial Engineering Department, and Director of the Innovative Technologies Laboratory, LTI, at the National School of Applied Sciences, Abdelmalek Essaadi University. His research interests include intelligent Systems, neural networks, machine learning, Data Mining and Knowledge Discovery. From 2001 to 2003, he has been a visiting professor at Carlos III University, in Signal Theory and Communications Department. In 2010 and 2011 he was an invited professor at LIPN Laboratory, Paris 13 University. His Specific research areas of current interest include the participation in the development of a Sustainable Mobility Plan, and WSN for smart cities.

Mohamed Larbi Kerkeb studied at Abdelmalek Essaâdi University in Tetouan where he obtained a Ph.D. thesis. In 1993, he obtained his Ph.D. in Applied Physics at the University of Granada in Spain. He is Professor of Higher Education in the Department of Physics of the Faculty of Sciences of Tetouan and then Director of the Laboratory of Electronics and Materials. In 2005, he was appointed Deputy Dean of the Polydisciplinary Faculty of Tetouan and in 2008 he was assigned to the President of the University. In 2011, he was appointed Director of the Computer Resource Center at Abdelmalek Essaâdi University, at which time he was appointed by the Ministry of Higher Education to develop the Moroccan Information System for Scientific Research. In 2013, he joined the Scientific Council of the AUF and then the Regional Council of Expert of the Maghreb zone that he chairs today. In December 2016 in Paris, he was unanimously elected Chairman of the Scientific Council. He is the author of more than 150 scientific publications (international and national papers and conferences), he has directed more than 10 theses and has designed, developed and successfully coordinated a dozen European projects in the fields of digital, Distance education, vocational integration, entrepreneurship and the promotion of scientific research

While many traditional robots are limited by a predefined set of alternatives for interactions and collaborations, one of the challenging goals in robotics and computer science is to build future robots and devices in physical or virtual forms that are multi-disciplinary in nature, connected to the world knowledge, and interact with humans to solve general as well as domain specific problems.

This workshop will gather people from industry and academia to create an opportunity to discuss how Semantic Computing can be effectively applied for smart interactions between humans and robots for problem solving, where Semantic Computing addresses the derivation, description, generation, integration, and use of the semantics (“meaning”, “context”, “intention”) of sources that may be static, dynamic, structured, semi-structured, unstructured, or a mixture of the above.

The innovative technologies developed over the last five years start to develop a picture of what smart cities will look like within the next decade.

Smart City is the product of accelerated development of the new generation information technology and knowledge-based economy, based on the network combination of the Internet, telecommunications network, broadcast network, wireless broadband network and other sensors networks where Internet of Things technology (IoT) as its core. The main features of a smart city include a high degree of information technology integration and a comprehensive application of information resources. The essential components of urban development for a smart city should include smart technology, smart industry, smart services, smart management and smart life.

The Internet of Things is about installing sensors (RFID, IR, GPS, laser scanners, etc.) for everything, and connecting them to the internet through specific protocols for information exchange and communications, in order to achieve intelligent recognition, location, tracking, monitoring and management. With the technical support from IoT, smart city need to have three features of being instrumented, interconnected and intelligent. Only then a Smart City can be formed by integrating all these intelligent features at its advanced stage of IOT development.

The explosive growth of Smart City and Internet of Things applications creates many scientific and engineering challenges that call for ingenious research efforts from both academia and industry, especially for the development of efficient, scalable, and reliable Smart City based on IoT. New protocols, architectures, and services are in dire needs to respond for these challenges.

The motivation of International Workshop on Smart City and Internet of Things (SCIoT’17) is to bring together scholars, professors, researchers, engineers and administrators resorting to the state-of-the-art technologies and ideas to significantly improve the field of Smart City based on IoT.

A parameter-based approach to the linguistic expression of emotion

Appraisal Theory is aimed to understand how social relations are negotiated through alignment, as linguistically realised by the axes of engagement, graduation and attitude. Of the three subsystems, the latter has attracted more attention so far. Attitude helps classify instances of emotion talk and emotional talk through the meaning domains of AFFECT, and JUDGEMENT and APPRECIATION, emotional talk entails the more indirect expression of emotion by attending to ethical and aesthetic values. As such, there is growing consensus about the desirability of treating JUDGEMENT and APPRECIATION as expressing individual opinion, with AFFECT, on the other hand, pertaining to self- and other-report emotion. Why happiness and satisfaction are separate categories when, psychologically, happiness may be both hedonic and eudaimonic; why antipathy is treated under unhappiness when, psychologically, it derives from anger and/or disgust This paper thus offers a more refined version of AFFECT, relying especially on neuroscience and cognitive dimensional appraisal theories of emotions.

Top Machine Learning MOOCs at the service of pedagogical innovation in the face of the challenges of massification At the university level in Africa.

Distance education and e-Learning has been subject of many research these last years. It seems that its adoption in higher education is faced today challenges in most developing countries resulting from global economy changes and rapid expansion of knowledge. Scripted courses that are posted online do not require as many resources and their production cost is relatively low. The same realization is possible for the South, where we find the same problems facing the growing number of students. Audiovisual digital contents also enable us to save time, going to an hybrid teaching or even flipped classroom in some cases. The idea is not to suppress the face-to-face courses but, instead, to place teachers at the center of this educational innovation. The online posting of free contents allows students to deepen knowledge autonomously and independently. We will present the low-cost economical model that has been used to support this initiative and the challenges we are facing. Some provided ideas on the critical success factors of this initiative will be described and discussed.

This led to the emergence of many types of smart environments, such as smart homes, hotels, hospitals, and so on. Technologies are gaining tremendously in both the market and intellectual activities because of their approach centered on people leading directly or indirectly to the formation of the overall concept of smart cities to meet the various needs of their residents. The purpose of this presentation will therefore be to highlight the contribution of research results in the field of IT in improving the services the city of Tangier can offer as, a smart city in various sectors such as the environment, public transport and communication in Wireless Sensor Networks (WSN).

Arabic NLP In The Context of Intelligent Systems

Artificial Intelligence and Intelligent systems have become so popular that not only academia but also industry is extensively using them. Large and known companies such as Google, Facebook, Apple, etc. are investing a lot in this direction, buying start-ups and setting up dedicated research centers to promote and foster innovative ideas and technologies relying on the use of intelligent algorithms. In other words, in computer science today, Intelligence is the trend. For the specific case of the Arabic language, the recent rise in the number of Arabic Internet users has generated a rapid increase in Arabic digital content. Processing this volume of information and taking advantage of it requires the development of tools and programs that are dedicated to Arabic Natural Language Processing (ANLP). The objective of the present talk is first to present the state of the art of the field in terms of resources and processes. Secondly, the talk will concentrate on evaluating the existing ANLP tools and discuss how intelligent NLP algorithms and techniques could be applied and adapted to the context of the Arabic language.
